For any long-time readers of UK Survival Guides know, every now and then we share videos from The King of Random. Why? Well Because a lot of his videos can actually be used by both preppers and survivalists.
It comes with great sadness to hear of Grant Thompsons death and how much life he still had ahead of him being only 38 when he died on July 29, 2019.
Grant filmed his own death which law enforcement say shows that a freak gust of wind caused his parachute to fail whilst paragliding.
Grants body was found on Tuesday by using GPS data near the Sand Hollow State Park in Utah. According to law enforcement, Thompson died on impact, less than four seconds after the problem arose.
The video shows that Thompson knew something was wrong and tried to deploy his reserve parachute but that did not deploy in time.
The footage has been deemed too gratuitous, gruesome and painful for public release.
The Search for Grant Thompson
It is understood the search was launched when he did not return home for an hour and his family couldn’t reach him on his phone.
Thompson had only started paragliding around five months earlier.
His family shared a tribute to Grant on his YouTube channel after the news was confirmed, urging fans to perform a “random act of love” to honour the star.
